Anastasia's research interests include school-family relationships and young people's civic development in schools, with a regional focus on South Asia. As part of the Out of Eden Learn team, she is also studying the impacts of digital cross-cultural inquiry and exchange on students’ understandings of cultures. Prior to beginning the doctoral program, Anastasia taught high school history in Providence, Rhode Island, and worked on teacher professional development at an education foundation in Delhi. She holds a BA in history from Brown University.
