Matthew Patrick Shaw is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Assistant Professor of Law at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Shaw is a sociologist of law who specializes in education rights, in particular how laws define and constrain education access. His work focuses on educational inequity and investigating the forms of evidence needed to meet legal standards for reducing these inequities.
